In this specific post, I'll try to post as much Official Brazil "shipments codes" as possible (all I can get my hands on). Some may not know, but every CD and DVD made in Brazil since mid-2003 comes with a code which means the "number" of the press and how many copies that were made in that specific press. These codes would be the same that ABPD (the official organization for certifications in Brazil) uses to certify albums.
Let’s say that you buy a CD with the “code” AA50000 printed on it - 3 months later, your friend buys this album, but he has not the same “code” as you have, his copy has the “code” AB25000. So, how come the two have different codes? As I pointed out earlier: out of these “codes”, we get to know the “number” of the pressing and the amount of pressed copies of that edition. AA50000 reveals that this is the 1st pressing made of this album, with 50,000 copies made – AB25000 reveals that this is the 2nd pressing made of this album, with 25,000 copies made. (AA = 1st pressing, AB 2nd pressing, AC = 3rd pressing, AD = 4th pressing and so on…)If no other pressings were made, the total shipment of this album would be 75,000. This is how the code works, simple right?
At this moment, I have the following codes:
Elvis Presley - Ultimate Gospel ... AN1000
Elvis Presley - Love, Elvis ... AE500 ... AM1000
Elvis Presley - 30 #1 Hits ... AW2000 AX? AY5000 ... BG3000
Elvis Presley - 2nd to none ... AI500 ... AP1000
Elvis Presley - The King AA3000 ... AE2000
Elvis Presley - Viva Las Vegas AA3000 AB1000
Elvis Presley - #1 Hit Performances (DVD) AA5000
Elvis At Sun AA3000 ... AC500
Elvis Greatest Love Songs AA1000
Elvis By The Presleys AA5000 AB1000
Promised Land - Expanded Version AA1000
Burning Love AA1000
Elvis In Person AA1000
Moody Blue AA1000 ... AH1000
Rubberneckin (Single) AA5000
